Summarization API
Summarization is a feature of the Agent Assist API. This functionality allows you to summarize customer interactions—such as emails, chats, or transcribed calls—into concise and actionable insights.
How It Works
- Provide Input Content: Submit the content to be summarized. This can include a
transcript,email, orchat_log. The input should be structured as clearly as possible to ensure accurate summarization. - Choose Summary Type (Optional): Use the
summary_typeparameter to specify the format or focus of the summary. Supported values include:factual: Focuses on objective facts and events.detailed: Provides a richer summary with more context and nuance.technical: Emphasizes technical content, useful for engineering or product-related interactions. If not specified, the system will default to a factual summary.
- Generate Summary: Send the request to the
summarizationorsummarization-asyncendpoint. The response will include a short summary highlighting the main points, decisions, actions, and any follow-up required.
